Who we are

AIWU Consult ("we", "us") is a Belgium based AI consultancy. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at consult@aiwu.ai.

What data we collect

This website deliberately collects very little:

  • Contact form. When you submit the contact form, we receive the information you enter: your name, work email, company (optional), and your message. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry (legal basis: taking steps prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, for security and to deliver the site (legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website).
  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are anonymised. If you decline, no analytics run and no analytics cookies are set (legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw by clearing this site's cookies).
  • Language selection. We read your browser's language preference, locally in your browser, to show the site in Dutch, French, or English. Nothing is sent to any server for this; only a manual language choice is remembered in your browser's local storage.

We use no advertising trackers or marketing cookies.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers (processors) to run this site:

  • Google Firebase Hosting (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) serves this website and processes technical log data.
  • Web3Forms relays contact form submissions to our mailbox. Per their policy, submissions are forwarded and not stored by them.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site; loading them transmits your IP address to Google.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) processes anonymised usage statistics, only after you consent via the cookie banner.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages arrive in our email and are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, after which they are deleted. Hosting log data is retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention periods.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email consult@aiwu.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
